How boarding Eurostar from London works

Читать на русскомPrepare the ticket and documents beforehand
Taking Eurostar from London involves more than arriving on the platform immediately before departure. Open the booking, check the name, date and destination, and complete Advance Passenger Information: Eurostar requires passport details before issuing the ticket ↗. Save an offline copy and charge your phone.
Check permission to enter the destination and return to the UK for your own nationality and immigration status. A UK visa or eVisa does not replace permission to enter France. Children also need appropriate travel documents. If you have changed passports, check the document linked to your UK immigration status in advance.
When to reach St Pancras
Eurostar's current station arrival guidance ↗ recommends arriving 75 minutes before a Standard or Plus departure from London St Pancras; ticket gates close 30 minutes before departure. Premier and passengers using arranged assistance have different guidance. Follow your particular ticket and current operational notices.
Gate closure is not a sensible target arrival time. Allow for walking through the station, queues, security and document checks. If you are using a separate train to London, include a buffer for delays on that journey.
What happens before boarding
Find the Eurostar departures area and have your barcode and passport ready. Follow signs and staff instructions through ticket, security and border procedures. Pack luggage that you can move yourself and that meets the operator's conditions.
Some travellers must complete European Entry/Exit System procedures, which can include biometric registration. Applicability depends on nationality and residence status; consult the current Eurostar travel-document guidance. Registration is not a visa and does not remove entry requirements.
If something goes wrong
Ask Eurostar about a name error, an unavailable ticket or unclear document requirements before travel day. Arrange reduced-mobility assistance in advance with the operator. A relative meeting you cannot substitute for staff access to restricted areas.
If you are late, find Eurostar staff immediately rather than heading for a domestic railway platform. Rebooking depends on your fare, available seats and the circumstances. Keep transport disruption messages, but do not treat them as a guarantee of a free transfer to another international train.
