The London section of European Coffee Trip ↗ provides a specialist directory and map. Inclusion does not guarantee that a café will match your taste or suit laptop work. Confirm hours and menus with the business itself.
Starting points include Monmouth Coffee at Borough Market ↗ and Origin's locations ↗. Choose a convenient branch rather than trying to visit every recommendation in one day.
Make the map personal
Save places in your phone's map and organise them by purpose: takeaway, meeting friends, working or buying beans. Add notes on your preferred drink, seating, closed days and the verified address.
Begin with two cafés in one neighbourhood. Compare the same drink or deliberately try different brewing methods. That helps identify your own preferences more effectively than judging a café by its interior or the roaster's name.
Check a particular drink
Raf coffee and other drinks familiar to you may not appear on the menu. Read the current list and ask before travelling whether the café makes your desired drink. Describe the ingredients and preferred sweetness. Do not assume staff recognise the name or can alter a recipe on request.
For plant-based milk, ask which options are available and whether there is an extra charge. Discuss ingredients and equipment separately if you have an allergy. When buying beans, ask about the brewing method and grind you need; a higher price does not ensure your preferred flavour.
Seating, laptops and spending
A café serving enjoyable coffee may have few seats, restrict laptops or mainly offer takeaway. Before arranging a lengthy meeting, check the rules, sockets, Wi-Fi and whether your group can use a table.
Compare drink prices, extras and travel costs. After visiting, update your map with a brief note on flavour and practical convenience. Recheck saved places periodically: hours, menus and even addresses can change. A small, current list of cafés that suit your routine is more useful than a large collection of unverified pins.
