Choose a format
Try a walk, board-game meeting, brunch or trip with a shared activity. Ask about language, group size and joining without a companion. Different events have different expectations.
Before attending
Check the current date, place, start time and booking process. Tell the organiser if you would like help joining a team. Do not transfer one event's conditions to another.
During the meeting
A brief introduction and a question about the city are enough to start. Join an activity or another small group when a conversation stalls. You do not need to tell your entire biography or find a best friend immediately.
Afterwards
Suggest a specific next meeting if you enjoyed someone's company. Exchange contacts by mutual agreement and consider consent and organiser rules before publishing photographs of participants.
