London in three days: a realistic itinerary
Central sights, a museum day and Greenwich, with room to shorten the plan.

Day one: the centre
Start with Westminster and the South Bank. Choose one paid interior or activity rather than booking every nearby attraction. Leave time for the river, lunch and the journey back.
Day two: museums
Choose one main museum and a small collection or theme you want to see. Check whether entry or exhibitions require booking. Allow a break and avoid turning a museum day into a checklist of distant buildings.
Day three: Greenwich
Plan travel to Greenwich and choose a small number of stops such as the park, waterfront and a museum or observatory. Check slopes, access and any separate tickets. A river trip is an optional journey with its own conditions.
Keep alternatives
Create shorter versions for rain, tiredness or disruption. Group bookings geographically and allow generous travel time. The Millennium Bridge photograph illustrates a further central riverside option.
Before booking
Check official opening times, cancellation rules and each operator's meeting point. Compare what a ticket includes with the part of the itinerary you actually want.
