Keep receipts, service descriptions, agreed photographs, messages and dated result images. Identify the specific issue: injury, an unagreed colour, incorrect shape or premature coating failure. Disliking a result differs from failure to meet an agreement.
Burns, infection, significant pain or injury need medical attention first. Do not accept immediate repeat chemical treatment before skin or hair condition is understood.
Discuss remedies
Citizens Advice explains poor-service rights in England ↗. Services require reasonable care and skill. Remedies commonly involve repeat performance where possible or a price reduction where appropriate.
Section 55 of the Consumer Rights Act ↗ requires repeat performance within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. This does not mean enduring an unsafe correction. Subjective disappointment alone cannot guarantee a full refund.
Write the complaint
State appointment date, service, price, agreed result, problem and requested remedy. Attach evidence and request a response within a specified reasonable period. Retain a copy and confirm telephone agreements in writing.
Request product details separately if needed for clinical care. Avoid publishing other customers' personal information or images. A public review does not replace complaining directly to the business.
Escalation
Ask about the complaints process, insurance where injury occurred and ADR participation. Seek consumer advice for your UK jurisdiction using local guidance. Bank disputes and court action have separate grounds, deadlines and evidence requirements. Discuss and document another provider's correction costs without assuming every invoice will automatically be recoverable.
