A sauna, steam room and banya ritual offer different arrangements. A swimming-centre sauna may be sufficient if you want warmth after a swim. For humid heat and treatment with leafy branches, look for parenie and the actual banya programme.
Banya No.1 — Hoxton ↗ offers a shared Public Banya and Private Banya Taiga. Its website describes the steam room, cold plunge and treatments. This is a bathhouse experience; a small plunge should not be mistaken for a swimming pool.
Check the session format
Compare the Hoxton FAQs ↗ with your selected booking time. The operator has mixed sessions and dedicated male-only and female-only hours. A private booking is a separate arrangement for your group rather than ordinary admission to the shared facilities.
Swimwear is compulsory during mixed public sessions. Ask about clothing and treatment staff during female-only hours: that label does not necessarily exclude male therapists. Check the age conditions for children under the actual format you intend to book.
Understand the package
Check duration, access to facilities, whether parenie is included, any massage or scrub and how many treatments each guest receives. Additional treatments depend on practitioner availability, so arrange them ahead.
Establish what is provided for towels, slippers, felt hats and lockers, plus food and drink charges. Calculate the entire visit rather than admission alone. Ask about extending your time and its price. Read deposit, rescheduling and cancellation conditions before paying.
