Finding cinema listings and suitable screenings in London

For mainstream releases, compare Vue ↗ and ODEON ↗ at the actual branch. For retrospectives, discussions and specialist programming, check BFI Southbank ↗. Festivals can use separate booking systems.
Search by both film and area. A nearby cinema may be more practical than a central one despite a slightly higher ticket price. Distinguish Westfield London from Westfield Stratford and a chain name from a branch address.
Language and screening type
Check original language, subtitles, dubbing and special labels. An English-language film does not necessarily have English subtitles. Captioned screenings may include descriptions of sound; audio description is a different facility.
Check age classification and admission rules. Adult accompaniment does not make every film suitable or admissible for children. For comfort needs, establish relaxed-screening, sound and other specific arrangements.
Price and seats
Compare standard screens, IMAX, other premium formats and seat categories. The same film title does not establish identical pricing. Check booking fees, concessions, subscriptions and offer restrictions.
A subscription is useful only for realistic attendance at included venues. Establish supplements and minimum term. Avoid buying one for a single discount if using its continuing benefits would be difficult.
Planning
Ticket time may precede advertisements, but another person's typical advertising interval is not permission to arrive late. Festivals, Q&As and special screenings can operate differently. Check running time and the journey home.
Keep confirmation and ticket-collection instructions. An unpublished future week's programme does not necessarily mean a film will be absent; ask when listings appear. Recheck branch, date and changes before travelling.
