Day parking, a season ticket and leaving a vehicle untouched for several weeks are different products. Give the operator exact dates and ask about continuous stays. A monthly pass does not automatically permit a car to remain stationary throughout the month.

Questions for the operator
Confirm height, width, approach, vehicle type, night access and repeat entry. Ask whether a bay is allocated, whether keys must be handed over and whether staff may move the car. For an electric vehicle, check charging separately rather than assuming a charging bay can be occupied for weeks.
Ask about supervision, cameras and damage procedures. Secure-parking wording does not replace liability terms. Check your motor policy and notify the insurer of changes where required.
Streets and private driveways
For street parking, check council restrictions, permits, maximum stays and temporary suspensions. A permit does not guarantee that a chosen bay remains available throughout a holiday. Arrange a way to notice new signs and move the vehicle if necessary.
For a private space, verify the owner’s authority to let it, address, access and written terms. Avoid paying an unfamiliar person solely on the strength of a photograph. Use arrangements identifying the actual space and dispute process.
Cost and preparation
Add the parking charge, deposit, fees and journeys to collect and leave the car. Ask about cancellation, extension and a delayed return flight. Save the confirmation and photograph the vehicle’s condition.
Before a long stay, check that the car can lawfully return to the road and that relevant documents will not expire during your absence. Remove valuables, provide only information required by the operator and save the collection instructions beforehand.
