Choose an operating application channel

Ukraine's MFA ↗ provides for international passports through diplomatic offices and overseas Passport Service centres. A DP Document centre operates in London ↗. It is a separate service with its own appointments and charges; a consular booking does not automatically transfer to it.

Compare the service required: international passport only, ID card, simultaneous applications or forwarding an already-produced document. Older messages claiming that using DP Document necessarily requires travel to another European country no longer describe every option.

Book through the correct system

For a consulate, use the MFA electronic queue through e-Consul ↗, with an accepted electronic identification method. If no appointments are available, check the official waiting-list process. Find office contacts and arrangements in the MFA's UK directory ↗.

DP Document uses a separate London appointment system ↗. Retain the original SMS/Viber confirmation and the phone that received it: a forwarded message or screenshot does not replace the required confirmation. Check family-booking arrangements with the particular service.

Prepare evidence for your circumstances

For an adult at Passport Service, the checklist includes a Ukrainian passport, tax number, residence-registration information and previous international passports ↗. Name changes, lost documents, a child's first application and missing identity evidence require different preparation.

For a child, check citizenship evidence, the birth certificate, the representative's documents and attendance requirements beforehand. Ask about translation and authentication of a foreign certificate. Where special applicant requirements apply, use the authority's current instructions: consular and DP Document conditions are not necessarily identical.

Allow for charges, delivery and the eVisa update

DP Document's tariff separates the administrative charge, service component and dispatch arrangements; bank charges may also apply. Published urgent or ordinary production periods exclude delivery to London. Do not buy tickets based solely on printing time.

Track readiness through the official service; “produced” and “available for collection” are different statuses. Before submitting, establish what happens to the previous passport and whether a document containing visas can be retained. Check transliteration and personal details on collection, then update your UKVI account ↗. Replacing a passport does not extend UPE or another British immigration status; check the permission's expiry separately.
