Choosing Halloween parties and activities in London

Children's pumpkin activities, themed parties, horror attractions and night tours create very different experiences. Decide whether actors, darkness, loud sound and jump scares suit you. The Halloween label alone is insufficient.
Visit London lists seasonal options ↗. Verify year, dates and content with the organiser. Events can run over several weeks rather than only 31 October and at different times of day.
Age and access
Check minimum age, adult supervision and content warnings. Family-friendly need not mean entirely unfrightening. For children, establish duration, toilets and easy exit arrangements.
Ask specifically about light, sound and confined spaces where relevant. “Immersive” does not describe physical demands. Book any suitable quieter session explicitly rather than expecting changes to a standard performance.
Parties and costume
Check dress code, masks, props, identification, age and last admission. Even themed venues may restrict weapon-like accessories. Costume does not remove identification or security requirements.
Budget for entry, cloakroom, food, drinks and transport. Establish what is included beyond admission. Coordinate categories and slots so a group can enter together.
Late travel
Check TfL ↗ for the actual return date and time, including engineering work. Weekend attendance does not mean every line runs overnight. Save a backup route and meeting point.
Review cancellation, weather updates and lateness before departure. You can leave if the experience becomes unsuitable; buying a ticket does not require enduring distress. A clear appropriate format is a better first Halloween choice than the most frightening advertisement.
