Читать на русскомChoose a salon, brand counter or mobile visit
For event makeup, options include an independent artist, a salon and a cosmetics counter. MAC offers makeup bookings ↗, while BLOW describes mobile services ↗. Confirm the location and format before paying: a counter consultation is different from a home visit.
Provide the date, required finish time, area, event and desired look. Confirm your preferred language with the selected artist. For a group, state the number of people and whether simultaneous appointments are needed.
Assess relevant examples
Look for work on a similar skin tone and skin type, with the intensity you want. Studio lighting and filters can conceal texture; request ordinary daylight photographs. Explain natural makeup more precisely: coverage, eye emphasis, lashes and a matte or luminous finish.
Ask about preparation, brush cleaning, disposable applicators and previous reactions. BABTAC advises checking qualifications and insurance ↗. Membership can be confirmed separately; follower numbers do not replace these questions.
Request a complete quote
Clarify makeup, lashes, application, travel, parking, early appointments and any minimum booking value. At a brand counter, establish whether payment is solely a service fee or is redeemable against products, when redemption applies and any restrictions.
Agree on arrival and completion times, allowing travel time before the event. Ask about lateness, artist illness, deposit refunds and approval of a replacement. Keep written confirmation.
Preparation and the finished look
Follow the artist's skin-preparation instructions; avoid trying numerous new products immediately before the event. Mention sensitivity, allergies, contact lenses and reactions to lash adhesive. Discuss an active skin problem beforehand, including postponement or medical advice if appropriate.
Check the face and neck colour in natural light while the artist is still present. Ask for minimal touch-up advice and suitable removal instructions. You do not need to buy the artist's entire product kit to receive clear aftercare advice.
